Management at Coles

8.2
8.2 rating for Management, based on 44 reviews
How accessible are managers and do they make good mentors? You may want to address internal communication, performance feedback or praise and recognition.
My Line manager is excellent, as is the rest of the team and the teams manager. I think that it would be interesting if there was more interactions with the GMs.

The management team at Coles are very personable. They treat employees as humans and can admit their own faults and areas to work on. They spend a lot of time listening to their employees and actively work together to improve processes. I've also been impressed with the number of women represented across the technology management team.

As grads we have fantastic support from our line managers, accelerator coach and graduate buddy. On top of that, everyone is happy to help grads and have a chat.

Very satisfied with direct line manager - supportive, provides feedback and recognition Varied positive and negative experiences with other managers - e.g. difficult to speak up, lack of recognition

Depends with the person. I've had a manager who's quite busy and therefore did not have the time to spend with me when I didn't really know much. However now that I understand what I'm doing, I feel that I don't need as much support and when I do ask for help, I get quite good feedback. I'm able to take initiative and work much more independently. There are other managers who are more approachable and really care about your wellbeing and purpose. And I would say this is majority of the people that I have worked with. I find most managers quite supportive and go out of their way to help you.

My manager would always encourage me to reach out for anything, and help guide me through work issues. Provided positive and constructive feedback for bigger tasks I worked on. The many meetings they were a part of each work sometimes made it difficult to find a time to reach out that suited them.

My immediate managers are great mentors, however there are some bad apples in the batch.

Yes they interact well. It's not something that is high on my radar and I wouldn't care of they didn't.
