Office & Workplace at Queensland Audit Office

8.8
8.8 rating for Workplace, based on 19 reviews
Please comment on your company's office space, location and facilities. And while we're at it, please tell us a little about the dress code.
The building is hard to access for a CBD location. There are very few buses nearby and the train is a fair walk.

Good facilities and office space. Dress code is reasonably flexible.

The office is open plan and space. Everyone shares the same space so whether you're a graduate or the Auditor General, you might be sitting next to each other. There is a quiet zone if you want to focus. The dress code is smart casual.

The office itself is comfortable. There's no shortage of restaurants, cafes, food places to go to for lunch. A kitchenette on each level means that if you wanted to make your own food instead, you would be able to (and this HAS been done). The dress code is typical and pragmatic for the workplace (hooray for casual Fridays!).

The QAO office is modern, boasting over two floors in the Brisbane CBD. The office utilises hot desking, meaning you do not have a set desk and are free to sit wherever your teams are so you can work collaboratively together. Dress code is casual business most days, but expectations of business attire when meeting with clients.

The offices are lovely and modern. Dual screen workstations with multiple sit-stand desk options. All meeting rooms are set-up with MS-Teams compatibility and a lovely relaxing lunchroom.

Very clean, up to date technology, fresh fruit every second day for everyone to have, social club fundraiser snack cupboard and fridge, inner city office overlooking botanic gardens and river. Makes for a nice ambiance.

The office space is open plan and uses designated areas. It uses a hot-desk approach in which teams can sit in any cluster of desks and work together by connecting their laptops to which desk they like. The office is clean and modern, with windows going around and an open feeling. There are also designated quiet areas and meeting rooms which allow privacy and louder separate conversations. Oftentimes work is done from client sites or when it is not necessary to work from an office, working from home is widely accepted and accommodated. The dress code is smart casual, depending on if you have a client meeting.

They run on a hot desk system where each day you come to work and pick any desk you like. The desks are very well equipped and there is everything you could want in an office. There are large meeting rooms, quiet rooms and a great kitchen.

The office space is very nice, with pod coffee machines, and tea provided. Hot desking is used and each desk has 2 monitors, a mouse, and keyboard. Head office is located in Brisbane CBD, only a 10 minute walk from central station. The dress code is dress for the day you have, so if you are meeting clients you may need to dress more formally than if you were working at head office.

The company has two floors, amenities, even a shower. The firm does not have allocated desks, but there are enough for every employee; there is the possibility that the audit will occur in the client's location and there is the option to work from home. Thanks to the new auditor-general, the dress code is more relaxed in the office, but business clothes (minus the tie) are still required when traveling to a client.

The office space is an open floor plan to encourage collaboration but there is a dedicated quiet area to help with focus towards work. There are also plenty of Microsoft Teams integrated meeting rooms that can be booked by anyone. The kitchen has enough appliances to handle people's lunch routines and a large enough eating area to accommodate everyone. The location of the office is in the city, near the Botanical Gardens so there are plenty of places to eat out at with a team. The dress code is smart casual by default but it is dependent on the clients that we audit.
