Please tell us about promotion possibilities and fill us in on what it takes to move up the ranks.
I am unaware about promotion opportunities as a graduate.
Graduate, Brisbane - 19 Jul 2024
the graduate promotion pathway is well detailed with lots of information available. can't provide much more comment as I've been here < 1yr
Graduate, Brisbane - 16 Jul 2024
A clear career path. Many internal promotion opportunities. Experience and people skills are essential to move up the ranks.

I haven't been here long enough to get a more in-depth understanding of promotion opportunities, nor what it takes to move up the ranks. I've given this section a 10 since I can't opt out of the 1-10 rating, but given the culture at QAO I've little doubt that a 10 is appropriate in reality.

There are many opportunities for promotion at QAO, these are advertised externally and internally. There is a clear pathway on promotions and you are always made aware of what can help you achieve and get to the next level.

There seems to be ample opportunity to progress with your career at QAO. There are many team members that have been at the organisation for a long time and have worked their way up to executive roles. Note that in order to be promoted one must actually apply for an open position.
Graduate, Brisbane - 15 Jul 2024
Career progression seems to occur for the lower levels, but it is well known within the office that it is limited for the more senior roles. The fact that the AG is always an external appointment leaves little career aspiration for anyone in the office.

They have a system called Cognology where you request feedback on jobs that you are on over 2 weeks which assists in promotions. If you are constantly receiving feedback on all your jobs about going over and beyond what your current level is then the interview process will be a lot smoother for progression.
Graduate, Brisbane - 11 Jul 2024
Moving up the ranks requires that you meet the skill requirements to progress and complete the hiring process. Overall it is quite transparent and communicated through performance talks as to what is needed to progress based on current experiences and skills.

You have to submit a resume and cover letter. If successful, you will get an interview with 3 panel members from the business (managers/directors/learning and development).

There is huge room for growth in QAO. There are so many women in different leadership positions that you can look up to as well. QAO is also very invested in our interests and learning opportunities. They will try to schedule in opportunities to try different types of audits (financial, performance etc.) and get exposure to areas of the business that we are interested in.
Graduate, Brisbane - 09 Mar 2023
The ranks are clear and the opportunity to move up exists.
Midlevel, Brisbane - 09 Mar 2023
QAO is constantly hiring from within, and these opportunities are emailed to the staff. A large number of seniors and management have been with QAO for over a decade. This has shown me that they are giving the staff the opportunity to move up the ranks.
Intern, Brisbane - 09 Mar 2023
Internal promotion rounds happen 1-2 times a year. Feedback is given when managers might think you are ready for the next position.
