Your role

Global Finance

Global Finance is integral to HSBC’s purpose and strategy, playing a valued role in managing costs and deploying capital in the most effective way. Their global team of finance professionals partner with the business to provide trusted insights and forward-looking analysis; accuracy; efficiency and control to frame and influence business decisions.

They are currently seeking a CA intern to join the Global Finance – Tax team.

Principal responsibilities

  • Assist in providing support and guidance to relevant teams on tax queries
  • Assist in drafting replies to tax-related enquires by tax authorities
  • Assist in drafting submissions before assessing officer and transfer pricing officer
  • Assist in doing Transfer pricing documentation
  • Assist in tax-related compliances such as tax audit, transfer pricing audit, TDS, Form 15CA and CB etc
  • Assist in providing guidance on the notices received from revenue authorities for customers as and when required
  • Assist in providing TDS and Goods and Service Tax (GST) implication on vendor payments
  • Assist in TDS compliances such as:
    • Support and advise businesses/ functions on tax implication of provision
    • On a need basis support and guide relevant teams on filing TDS returns
    • TDS litigation including department liaising, drafting submission etc 

About you

Requirements

  • CA student registered with ICAI and having completed 18 months of Articleship training
  • Candidate to have the aptitude to learn various aspects of banking specifically financial analysis and credit underwriting
  • Candidate should possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum Graduation or as required for the role, whichever is higher
