Your role

Role name and description

Tax Analyst -The analyst's main responsibility is to validate client data, Study cash flow, portfolio, and crude financial data provided by the client, and prepare a draft income statement and balance sheet. You will work on the computation of economic allocations and tax returns, security analysis, other tax adjustments, and tax return preparation for Hedge funds and Mutual Fund clients and preparing financial statements for (CDO) clients.

Your key responsibilities

  • Demonstrating the ability to find information from EY and client resources efficiently
  • Demonstrating effective written and oral communication skills
  • Basic knowledge in the preparation of international forms – Form 5471, Form 8858, and Form 8865
  • Familiar with OneSource and/ or CorpTax software
  • Documenting all tasks and timelines, resources, and requirements to clarify the scope and scale of projects
  • Assist seniors in managing clients and projects
  • Adhere to practice protocol and other internal processes consistently.

About You

Skills and attributes for success

  • Validate client data & interact with U.S. teams.
  • Analyst client data and prepare work papers.
  • Prepare informational forms 5471, 8858, 8865, and other disclosure statements as prescribed by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
  • Delivering high-quality products within the stipulated time.
  • Multi-Tasking on various projects.
  • Comply with the Firm's Compliance Procedure.
  • Work with the Tax Seniors in meeting project deliverable timelines

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Graduates/Post-graduates (BCom/BBM/MCom/MBA (Finance)) with: 
  • Preferably, should have a minimum of 1 year / at least 500 hours of experience in preparing International tax forms.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the GTH team and onshore team.
  • Basic knowledge of MS office.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Awareness of other taxes in the US
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply the tax legislation
