Join our Vacation Program as a Vacationer within Advisory, from January 2026

Join our newest office based in Canberra! With big growth plans for the future, this is an exciting time to become part of our team.

We have Vacationer opportunities available for motivated students who have an interest in professional services, public sector projects, and/or consulting across the areas of Internal Audit, CFO Advisory, Governance, Risk and Compliance, Project Assurance and Advisory.

As a Vacationer in our Advisory Team, you will work within or gain experience across multiple of our different service offerings including:

Internal Audit

Internal audit services assess and test internal control systems, helping identify risks and areas for corrective action, while process integrity services focus on improving efficiency and ensuring compliance. BDO's risk advisory specialists support organizations across industries by identifying control deficiencies, offering recommendations, and delivering internal audit reports to enhance operational effectiveness.

CFO Advisory

The role of the finance function has evolved from a transactional, compliance-focused department to a critical strategic partner that drives organizational success. Today, finance executives are expected to collaborate with the board and C-suite, manage efficient financial processes, provide real-time data analysis, and support strategic decision-making through timely and informative reports.

Risk & Compliance

Risk Advisory services help businesses identify and manage potential risks by evaluating their culture, systems, and processes, supporting decision-making and preventing loss or harm. BDO's Risk Advisory teams across Australia provide services such as internal audits, risk management, compliance, IT security, and third-party assurance to enhance business performance and mitigate threats.

Project Assurance & Advisory

BDO helps organizations manage and deliver successful projects by providing independent, objective assessments and expertise across the full project lifecycle, from initiation to benefits realization. Our team reduces risks, improves delivery capability, and offers insights through services like governance design, health checks, project remediation, and post-implementation reviews, ensuring projects stay on track and deliver maximum value.
