As a Graduate Geology Engineer in our Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington and Auckland office, you’ll work on complex, impactful projects and be part of a team that embraces challenge, change, and growth. This role will sit in the Ground & Underground Engineering business unit.

What is Ground & Underground Engineering at Aurecon? 

Ground & Underground Engineering at Aurecon offers a one-stop service for infrastructure projects in the Resources, Transport, Water, Energy, Property, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing and Construction markets. This business unit includes professionals working in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, geohydrology, rock engineering, marine engineering, materials and pavement design, contamination studies, earthquake engineering and specialist monitoring. 

What you’ll bring to navigate the adventure 
As you take your first steps into your career adventure, we’re looking for those who eager to grow, learn, and bring fresh perspectives to the table. You’ll come with: 

  • A relevant degree (or expected completion) in Bachelor of Science (Hons) majoring in Geology, Geophysics, Earth Science, OR Professional master's in engineering Geology, OR master's in engineering Geology OR Master of Science in Engineering Geology OR Post Graduate Diploma, majoring in Geology or Engineering Geology.
  • You will have studied the following subjects or areas of focus:
  • Engineering geology
  • Rock Slope Stability
  • Rock Deformation
  • Tectonics and Structural Geology
  • Geohazards and/or natural hazards & risk assessment
  • Advanced field mapping
  • A passion for creating a sustainable future and an interest in innovative engineering solutions.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to contribute to a high-performing team.
  • A thirst for learning, growth, and new experiences.
