About the role

This unique permanent opportunity empowers you to shape your career in an exciting three-year customised graduate program allowing you to contribute to a more sustainable world. You will rotate across our WA locations based in the Peel and Upper Southwest regions.

What you’ll be doing

As a Graduate Chemical Engineer at Alcoa, you to learn, grow, and develop hands-on experience and expertise in:

  • Reviewing Alumina product quality and process performance within your assigned area of responsibility.
  • Working closely with our operators on site to understand key concerns and challenges.
  • Driving process improvement efficiencies through investigatory projects.
  • Identifying daily priorities and focusing on ways to minimise waste.
  • Working collaboratively with the Operations and Technical teams.

Development and mentoring

Throughout the program, you will be provided with:

  • coaching, mentoring, hands-on and professional training.
  • diverse experiences; from working in our corporate offices, to a local on-site environment within our 2 mine sites, 3 powerhouses and 2 alumina refineries.

If you are on the path to graduate by the end of 2024 or have recently completed tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Minerals Processing or a related discipline, we want to hear from you!
