About Austal

  • Austal Australia offers an exciting, dynamic working environment with the opportunity to contribute to some of the world's most advanced defence shipbuilding programs.
  • In Australia, defence vessels are designed, constructed and sustained at Austal Australia's Henderson, Western Australia facility. Employing approximately 600 people, the facility is the home to the Cape Class Patrol Boat (CCPB) and High-Speed Support Vessel (HSSV) programs. In addition, Austal Australia operates service centres in Darwin in the Northern Territory and Cairns in Queensland.
  • Austal Australia delivers the full lifecycle of support services to customers, from acquisition to sustainment and beyond; managing the design and construction of each vessel from start to finish. This provides excellent opportunities within design, production and support services for our highly skilled staff to utilise their talents and develop themselves and our teams, further.

Eligibility

You will be required to submit a resume, answer shortlisting questions and provide a cover letter outlining why you would like to join Austal's Graduate Program.

Values alignment and leadership potential is just as important to us as your technical background and for this reason, we are looking for all applicants that progress forward in the shortlisting process to undertake psychometric testing and an Assessment Centre.

Applications
Austal lives by its values charter, mission and purpose and as a result, we make everyone feel welcome. We are a socially equitable organisation that makes everyone feel welcome regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, religion or race.

Be quick as our applications are only open for a four week period and we look forward to hearing from you!

At times you may receive approval to work remotely somewhere other than your work location. This may mean that you travel between work sites.
