Alcoa’s three-year rotational graduate program is designed to provide you a broad foundation in information systems as well as allowing you to tailor your career path towards your interests and individual goals. 

Throughout the program, you will be provided with coaching, mentoring, hands-on and professional training to accelerate your development and maximise your full potential. The best part is that you’ll get to experience working locally in on-site environment at our Wagerup refinery, enjoying a lifestyle where you can be home each and every night!

You will be exposed to numerous networking opportunities and be provided with an increasing level of responsibility where you will use your innovative thinking, motivation to learn and passion for growth to make an impact for our business. You will join an open-minded workplace where your ideas will be valued whilst developing professionally in a supportive environment that will encourage you to think outside the box.

As a Graduate Information Systems Consultant at Alcoa, you will work closely with the Manufacturing Executions Systems team and Senior Chemical Engineers to develop your experience and expertise in:

  • Developing and supporting information application solutions for our refineries
  • Supporting process management applications through Honeywell’s connected plant system
  • Developing and ongoing of IT solutions, providing customer support and education
  • Developing and maintaining an applications strategy and architecture

About you

To be successful in this role and to play a part in our ongoing success you will be:

  • On path to graduate by the end of 2022 or have recently completed tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline 
  • A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously. 
  • Using your initiative and taking ownership of your work. 
  • A strong communicator with well-developed people skills. 
  • Analytically and open minded with a creative and collaborative approach to problem solving. 
  • Driving positive outcomes with your ability to engage with and understand your customers.
